About Us

The purpose of BOMA of Central Pennsylvania:

  • Create, maintain and develop cooperation among those employed within the real estate industry in the greater Central Pennsylvania Region.
  • Facilitate the interchange of ideas in the conception, construction, management, operation and maintenance of buildings.
  • Promote the general welfare of the real estate industry.
  • Provide membership advocacy
  • Professional development and networking opportunities

BOMA of Central PA is a bottom up organization which means that each local BOMA association operates under its own by-laws and Board of Directors. The local association is well positioned to meet the needs of local members while also addressing needs on a state, region, or national basis. However, we work closely with the international office in a partnership designed to represent our members interests at all levels of the business community and government.

BOMA Benefits

As industry professionals, you must decide where to spend your most valuable resources: time and money and stay up-to-date with technological advances, legislative issues and market conditions.

You also need information that is fast and reliable in order to stay competitive. Membership in BOMA's federated local associations and BOMA International can provide all of this and more when you take full advantage of the information and programs available to you.

BOMA focuses on five main benefits for its members:

Return on Investment – BOMA Members can take advantage of discounts on publications, seminars and other BOMA sponsored programs, including our local Group Purchasing Program.

Advocacy - BOMA is the premier real estate advocacy group, keeping members abreast of key legislative, regulatory, and codes and standards issues at the local, state and national level. BOMA is the organization officials turn to for industry information.

Professional Development –Your membership ensures being kept up to date on the vast array of issues affecting the commercial real estate industry through seminars, educational programs, and publications.

Information - Information is power. The weekly BOMA Bulletin email and our quarterly Inside BOMA Newsletter provide up-to-date industry news, a schedule of upcoming events and meetings, and other information to assist you and your company. The BOMA Hotline Alert program notifies security directors in member buildings of incidents in and around member buildings.

Networking - Networking opportunities are another key element of BOMA membership. Whether it is at a monthly general membership meeting, the annual Trade Show or the annual golf outing, you will gain as much value from networking with your peers as from the structured programs BOMA offers.
